Abbreviated breast MRI, the latest in breast imaging, comes to Advanced Imaging

Supporting our goal to offer the most advanced technology to Western Montana patients, we are proud to announce the addition of abbreviated breast MRI, known as AB-MRI, to our diagnostic breast imaging services.

AB-MRI is a shortened version of full breast MRI that is designed to screen for cancers that may be missed on mammography. AB-MRI is more affordable and faster lasting around 15 minutes, compared to a full breast MRI that lasts between 30 and 45 minutes. It is appropriate for women with dense breasts at average risk of breast cancer.

When making your appointment, consult the scheduler and your insurance on the cost of the exam. Currently, AB-MRI is self-pay and not covered by most insurances.
